This article examines the role of the US in the South Caucasus, whose strategic location has traditionally led regional and systemic powers to compete for influence and control. Recently, the US has sought to deepen its engagement with Armenia and Azerbaijan by mediating to achieve a peace deal between the two countries and signing cooperation agreements in sectors such as military equipment and energy. Moreover, the proposed creation of a new transit corridor, emerging from the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal, serves US strategic interests in the area and promises to offer regional security and stability. Under current circumstances, with the long-standing Russo-Ukrainian war and the conflicts in the Middle East, the strategic importance of the South Caucasus has grown considerably, as it is currently one of the most stable corridors linking Europe with Asia.
