Russia’s Presence in Africa

This article aims to analyze Russia’s strategy and growing activities in Africa and how they correlated with its broader geopolitical and economic objectives. Firstly, there will be a brief presentation of the historical ties between Russia and African states. Then, the reasons for which Russia has been striving to enhance its influence on the continent and the means it uses to achieve its aims will be explained. This will be followed by the analysis of cooperation in military, political, diplomatic and economic sectors.
